Formally founded in 1902, the A.E. Seaman Mineral Museum of Michigan Tech is the official mineral museum of the state of Michigan and is a heritage site of the Keweenaw National Historical Park. Featuring two great mineral collections from Michigan Tech and the University of Michigan, we are one of North America’s premier mineral museums that is nationally and internationally recognized by mineral collectors and connoisseurs. Featuring the largest public exhibit and finest collection of minerals from the Great Lakes region and the world’s best collection of Michigan minerals, the museum exhibits feature the rich colors of nature's masterpieces. While visitors marvel, they learn about minerals through informative displays and discover how minerals are important in many aspects of life.

We have history: a campus presence since 1946; one of 19 original detachments in the nation-- The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps challenges Huskies mentally and physically. The rewards of our cadet-run, cadre-supervised training last a lifetime.

The Applied Chemical and Morphological Analysis Laboratory (ACMAL) is a shared facility serving Michigan Tech and guest researchers. ACMAL houses an extensive array of electron microanalytical and X-ray instruments.
The Department of Applied Computing brings together those faculty and programs in the College of Computing with a common interest in applied aspects of computing. The areas of study within the Applied Computing department -- computer networks, cybersecurity, robotics, big data—have been identified by several groups as key technologies for the development of "Industry 4.0" capabilities in modern manufacturing and industry, and as such our degree programs provide graduates skills that are in high demand, now and in the future.
Since 1917, Michigan Tech has trained cadets to become army officers. The Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (AROTC) prepares second lieutenants who lead soldiers in the largest and most powerful branch of the US Armed Forces.
