Upper Peninsula ACS Student Research Symposium
Northern Michigan University, Marquette, Michigan

Purpose of the Symposium: ​To provide a ​venue for students to present their research in chemistry, chemical engineering, and related fields. This symposium will be an excellent opportunity for students, faculty, and the community at large to learn about the interesting research being conducted in the UP! The event is sponsored by the Upper Peninsula Section of the American Chemical Society.

Intended Audience: Undergraduate and Graduate students, pursuing research projects through ​externally-funded grants, guided independent study, or as part of a course. No Cost to Present!

Presentation Format: ​Poster presentations, maximum size 3 feet high x 4 feet wide

The deadline for abstract submissions is March 30, 2018

Awards! ​We will be judging posters and offering prize money to the highest-quality posters and presentations. Many awards will be given! All presenters will receive a gift from the UP Local Section.

• Registration / Set-up 9:30am – 10:00 am New Science Facility
• Poster Presentations 10:00 am – 12:00 pm New Science Facility
• Lunch 12:00 pm – 12:45 pm New Science Facility
• Awards / Speaker 1:00 – 2:30 pm Mead Auditorium

If you wish to apply, send an email to Joe Sabol, info@chem-consult.com​, with 1) your name, mailing address, phone, and email, 2) estimated round-trip mileage, 3) and the number of participants traveling in your vehicle. Please put “UP ACS Research Symposium Travel”, followed by your name, in the subject line of the email.
