Hockey game tickets for the 57th Annual GLI are still available and are purchased separately through Van Andel Arena for December 28 and December 29 or in person at the DeVos Place Grand Gallery box office Monday–Friday. Michigan Tech students should use special code "HUSKIES" throughout the duration of the sale. Ticket pricing is based on a per-day basis and tickets will be distributed on a mobile device. Pregame Social Event Details

Time:  1 p.m. pregame begins, 2 p.m. door prizes awarded
Location:  Peppino’s Downtown Sports Grille, located at 130 Ionia Ave SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
Parking:  Cherry Commerce Ramp is located directly next to Peppino's at 141 Commerce Ave. SW Grand Rapids, MI 49503 and only a short walk to Van Andel Arena. There are also street parking options in Grand Rapids available here.

Along with our special guest Head Coach Joe Shawhan, hosts include current Alumni Board members Britta Anderson '15 '23, Tonya Moore-Bouchard '96, Diane Cesarz '94, Dan Madrid '10, Michelle Wazny '10, Steve Williams '86, and Emma Zawisza '12 '16.

Food and drink will be available for individual purchase. MTU-branded door prizes will be awarded at 2 p.m. courtesy of the Office of Alumni Engagement, including signed MTU hockey jerseys, GLI apparel and tumblers.

Championship Day Open Skate at Rosa Parks Circle: Alumni and friends are welcome to attend an open public skate on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Hotel: Michigan Tech’s host hotel is the Amway Grand Plaza, 187 Monroe Ave NW, Grand Rapids, 49503. MTU alumni, friends and family are encouraged to book at their host hotel.
