ACMAL Shared Facility Open House
Applied Chemical and Morphological Analysis Laboratory
ACMAL is pleased to invite the campus community to their Open House. Tours take place from 9 a.m. to noon on the 6th floor of the M&M Building, gathering in the hallway with the canal view.
Meet the staff and learn the capabilities of the facilities:
- Electron Optics
- Surface Analysis
- Scanning Probe Microscopy
- Confocal Imaging
Be sure to make time for the shuttle bus ride to the ATDC to experience our newest acquisition, the atomic-scale FEI 200kV Titan Themis Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (S-TEM).
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the largest shared research facility at Michigan Tech. Professional staff Owen Mills, Ed Laitila, Timothy Leftwich, Jerry Anzalone, Pinaki Mukherjee, and Jerry Lutz will be on hand to share some of their expertise. They are available to help facility users get the most out of their analysis.
Assistant Professor of Chemistry Kathryn Perrine will be on site to discuss surface science and scanning probe techniques.
All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
