After School: Making and Tinkering

After School Science and Engineering Classes 2017

Grades 1-2

WEDNESDAYS     Oct. 25 - Dec. 6

6 sessions ~ 4:00-5:30 p.m. (no class week of Thanksgiving)

Learning through tinkering!  Explore tinkering and making with a variety of activities that blend science and engineering! Create a tower for baby bear, design a hand pollinator, build your own lifesaver mobile, and make your own house for the 3 little pigs!

Taught by Michigan Tech science and engineering students.

Location: All classes meet in 104 Great Lakes Research Center (GLRC)

Houghton Elementary School bus will drop off students at the GLRC by 3:45 pm

Cost: $75/student. Pay by credit card by calling MTU Cashier 487-2622
