AFROTC Detachment 400’s Shadow Day allows you to experience life as a cadet and take a closer look at Michigan Tech’s AFROTC program.

On Friday, you’ll shadow one of our Detachment 400 cadets, including attending class, participating in planned activities, and staying overnight in the residence halls. Saturday’s Preview Day will give you a closer look at Michigan Tech, including information sessions for you and your parents, focusing on academics, financial aid and scholarships, student life, and more.

To take part in Shadow Day, simply complete the REGISTRATION FORM and return by Friday, March 2, 2018. Additional information will be sent shortly after.

The basic schedule for Shadow Day is as follows

Friday, March 23, 2018
10:00am-1:00pm: Arrival - meet cadets and have lunch
1:30-7:00pm:  Shadow a cadet by attending afternoon classes 
3:30-7:00pm: Check-in for Preview Day
5:00-8:00pm: Activities and snacks with cadets at the ROTC Building
8:00pm: Option to spend the night in the residence halls with a cadet

Saturday, March 24, 2018
8:30am: Meet up with parents at the ROTC Building
9:00am-2:15pm: Preview Day Activities
2:30-3:15pm: Air Force department tour and Q&A
