Akropolis Reed Quintet

Founded in 2009, the GRAMMY® Award-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet performs with “sheer musical imagination” (Gramophone), renowned as “a sonically daring ensemble who specializes in performing new works with charisma and integrity” (BBC Music Magazine). Composed of the same five members since its founding, these five reed players and entrepreneurs are pioneers and champions of a new genre of classical music—the reed quintet. Christian Euman

Christian Euman, one of Revive Magazine's "six drummers you should know about," has toured with Jacob Collier, Kurt Elling, Billy Childs, Walter Smith III, and Geoff Keezer, among others. He attended the Thelonious Monk Institute where he studied and performed with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chris Potter, Jimmy Heath, and Stefon Harris.

Pascal Le Boeuf

Described as “a composer that rocks” by the New York Times, Pascal Le Boeuf is a GRAMMY-award-winning composer, pianist, and producer whose works range from improvised music to hybridizing chamber music with production-based technology. Pascal is an Assistant Professor of Music at MIT and holds a PhD from Princeton University.

The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts cultivates a vibrant and connected community through experiences that bring the Keweenaw together. Located on Michigan Technological University's campus in Houghton, Michigan, the 80,000-square-foot arts center's design is inspired by the inclined look of the local copper mine hoists and shaft houses inside and out. Event spaces include the Rozsa Lobby, James and Margaret Black Performance Hall, Rozsa Backstage, Rozsa Art Galleries, and McArdle Theatre.

As the largest theater in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Rozsa dramatically expands the region’s access to large-scale performing arts events including Broadway tours, ballet, cirque, music, and more.
