Join us for a fun weekend of outdoor education and recreation at Michigan Tech's Ford Center and Forest!

Learn from faculty and instructors in the School of Forest Resources and Environmental Science about the flora and fauna of the Keweenaw. See first hand the launching of drones and learn how such technology works with GIS and remote sensing, and how it is impacting environmental research. Try your hand at tree climbing and nature journaling. Hike as you learn about the geomorphology of the area and paddle the Sturgeon River searching for animal tracks.

Hear from world-renowned wildlife biologist, Rolf Peterson, about the history and the future of the Isle Royale National Park wolf-moose study, the world's longest predator-prey wildlife study. Enjoy hiking, paddling and socializing around the campfire.This weekend will be fun and educational with many hands-on activities. Lodging will be in the full-service conference center with meals featuring local favorites. Children age 12 and older are welcome to attend with their parents or guardians. The all-inclusive cost per person is $375.00 adults and $325 for children 12–16.
