The Search and Rescue Training Association and Husky Amateur Radio Club will be hosting a radio licensing exam on Saturday November 14, 2015 at noon in Fisher 325. Already have your license? Upgrade exams for General and Extra will also be given. In addition, there will be three exam prep classes offered (also in Fisher 325).November 10, 7PM-8PM. Class: topics covered: Electrical and RF Safety, FCC Rules, Station License responsibilities, control operator dutiesNovember 11, 7PM-8PM. Class: Topics covered: Operating practices, radio and electronic fundamentals, station setup and operationNovember 12, 7PM-8PM. Class: Topics covered: Communications modes and methods, special operations, emergency and Public Service Comm. Radio waves, propagation and antennasNovember 14: Noon.
