The Rozsa galleries’ first Intendent Exhibition of the 2018 season, American and French Posters from The Great War showcases WWI-era propaganda posters. This exhibit is supported by a Michigan Council for the Humanities Grant. Shell Shocked recreates the sensorium of battle at the western front, matching historic silent film footage to audio recreations of the sounds of war. This multimedia installation brings the horrific reality experienced by soldiers who fought in the war into sharp contrast with a parallel display of patriotic propaganda, both in the Rozsa Gallery.
