Abstract:
This expository talk will provide an introduction to the abstract algebra associated with directed graphs (quivers). We will indicate the relationship to other areas of theoretical mathematics, as well as potential applications to signal processing on graph-structured data and systems of differential equations.
Bio: Dr. Kitchen received a Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 2010 for her research in geometric representation theory. Since 2017, Dr. Kitchen has been a Principal Investigator at the Michigan Tech Research Institute in Ann Arbor, MI., working on a portfolio of programs in multi-agent autonomy.
