Virus-like Particle based vaccines for Chronic and Infectious Disease

Most of the easy vaccines have been made.  We have effective vaccines for most of the pathogens in which natural immunity elicits protective responses.  The future of vaccine research is develop techniques to target pathogens that are difficult to tackle using conventional vaccine approaches, and to expand the use vaccines to target molecules that are involved in non-infectious chronic diseases.  In this talk, I’ll describe how virus-like particle based platforms can be used to develop new vaccines against diverse targets.
