 e-bond integrity holds the key\n\nProtein aggregates are hallmark of sever
 al age related disorders including neurodegenerative diseases such as Amyo
 trophic Lateral Sclerosis\, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Howev
 er\, the underlying mechanisms by which these aggregated proteins impair c
 ellular functions and cause toxicity is not clear. Understanding the princ
 iples and contributing factors that are expected to regulate protein misfo
 lding\, surface hydrophobic exposure\, aberrant interactions\, or aggregat
 ion is key to understanding its relationship to cellular toxicity. I will 
 discuss results from my laboratory wherein we took three proteins and stud
 ied their biochemical and biophysical properties in cellular reducing envi
 ronment and also measured cytotoxicity of the distinct aggregates in cell
