Dr. Chaphalkar is the Chair and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater.

Title: Teaching-Focused University Instructor

Abstract: Do you enjoy your college classes? Are you wondering how to become an instructor at a college? Are you ever curious as to what other job responsibilities your instructors have? In this talk, I’ll share about my path from an undergraduate mathematics major at MTU to becoming department chair at a four-year institution. I’ll share many ideas of how you can get involved as an undergraduate to set yourself up for this type of position, and other typical requirements.
