CLASS ACTS EVENT
Tickets available by request for education groups serving Pre-K and/or K-12

Blast Off with Janet’s Planet traveling at the “speed of thought,” introducing the wonders of the galaxy to young audiences. Fans are in for a real treat as they are given a virtual tour around the solar system from Janet’s futuristic Mission Control.

In this highly interactive stage show, Captain Janet prepares the students to blast off and learn about the STAR at the center of our solar system, the SUN, and every planet (and dwarf planet) that abide on the outer spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy! The Tour of the Solar System introduces audiences to the planets, asteroids, and dwarf planets in our solar system. Sitting in the auditorium, students are whisked to the surfaces of each planet and can view what we know or imagine each to look like. As students enjoy the view, Captain Janet informs them of the planets’ features and interesting characteristics.

It’s a fun-filled adventure, filled with facts and figures and students will leave with their brains full of knowledge about the solar system and dreaming of stars and space.

About the Presenter

Rozsa stage beautifully lit with an audience.

The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts cultivates a vibrant and connected community through experiences that bring the Keweenaw together. Located on Michigan Technological University's campus in Houghton, Michigan, the 80,000-square-foot arts center's design is inspired by the inclined look of the local copper mine hoists and shaft houses inside and out. Event spaces include the Rozsa Lobby, James and Margaret Black Performance Hall, Rozsa Backstage, Rozsa Art Galleries, and McArdle Theatre. As the largest theater in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, the Rozsa dramatically expands the region’s access to large-scale performing arts events including Broadway tours, ballet, cirque, music, and more.
