Abstract

The transition to hybrid powertrains is often viewed as a natural step toward the adoption of fully electric vehicles (BEVs), yet it involves intricate challenges for OEMs that go beyond surface-level considerations. Scalable architecture, reusable assets, robust validation frameworks, and advanced control strategies are pivotal and require attention. Although hybrid systems offer a pathway to overcome adoption barriers, their complexity necessitates precise engineering and seamless integration across diverse powertrain components.

This session explores the multifaceted narrative of the mobility industry's shift to hybrid technologies, focusing on the challenges and solutions OEMs encounter in balancing hybrid and BEV platforms. Drawing from extensive experience, KPIT has established itself as a key partner for OEMs by addressing these challenges through innovative approaches, including scalable platforms, reusable assets, and efficient validation methodologies.

The seminar will delve into KPIT’s strategies for empowering OEMs to navigate this hybrid transition effectively. Attendees will gain insights into how hybrid powertrains serve as a critical interim solution, the hurdles faced by the industry, and the innovative solutions paving the way for a seamless shift to BEVs. This discussion aims to shed light on the complexities and opportunities within the automotive electrification journey, emphasizing the essential role of hybrid systems in this evolution.
