Disrupting Ableism in Higher Education.
The U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics captured that in 2019, 19% of college students reported having a disability – ranging from learning disabilities, mental health conditions, to mobility differences. Supporting invisible identities are as important
as supporting visible identities in our Tech community. This dialogue will engage individuals in understanding disability as a form of diversity, provide insight on different obstacles that students with disabilities face on college campuses, and how you can help provide students with disabilities a safer and more inclusive experience on campus.
Presented by Abby Moss and CDI
Please join us and engage in meaningful campus dialogue around topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
