 saacs (he/him/his) moved to the U.S. upon finishing high school in Kingsto
 n\,\nJamaica and received his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and 
 his PhD from the\nUniversity of Pennsylvania. He then worked as a postdoct
 oral research associate at the\nUniversity of California\, Berkeley before
  accepting his current faculty position. In addition to\nteaching courses 
 in Organic Chemistry\, he conducts and publishes research in the area of c
 opper-\nmediated organic reactions and synthesis. He is a faculty advisor 
 to numerous student groups\nincluding the Caribbean African Students’ As
 semblage and is a member of the college’s GLBTQ\nFaculty and Staff Allia
 nce.
