 moved to the U.S. upon finishing high school in Kingston\,\nJamaica and rec
 eived his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and his PhD from the\nUni
 versity of Pennsylvania. He then worked as a postdoctoral research associat
 e at the\nUniversity of California\, Berkeley before accepting his current 
 faculty position. In addition to\nteaching courses in Organic Chemistry\, h
 e conducts and publishes research in the area of copper-\nmediated organic 
 reactions and synthesis. He is a faculty advisor to numerous student groups
 \nincluding the Caribbean African Students’ Assemblage and is a member of t
 he college’s GLBTQ\nFaculty and Staff Alliance.
