Dr. William Jones will be the keynote speaker at the 27th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Banquet held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6 PM in the MUB Ballroom. Dr. Jones is a historian of the 20th century United States, with a particular interest in race, class, and work. He has written books on African-American industrial workers in the Jim Crow South and the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.

At this event Dr. Jones will reflect on Dr. King's dream and what it would look like today in our nation, education system, and economy. He will also share his research interest on Social and Political, 20th Century U.S., Labor and Working Class, African Americans, and Civil Rights.
