Summer Middle School Science Camp 2017
Students entering grades 6 – 9
Classes meet at Michigan Tech's Great Lakes Research Center and on campus; taught by Michigan Tech staff and professors
Monday - Friday from 9 am - 3:30 pm (Lunch provided)

Cost: $200 per student for each 5-day session (lunch included) Limited to 20 students per class.

June 19-23 - Great Lakes & Natural Resources (cost $200)
Explore forests, streams, wetlands and Lake Superior. Investigate aquatic food chains, how to assess the health of the Great Lakes, and how scientists and engineers help to protect water quality in a watershed.
June 26-30 - Engineering Exploration (cost $200)
Explore a variety of engineering fields and the many uses of engineering in daily life! Use the engineering design process to design solutions to a variety of engineering challenges. Interact with engineers and visit labs.
July 10-14 - Technology & Mathematics (cost $200)
Create web maps, work with electronics, sensors, and circuits, explore Mathematica, and create artistic designs through image processing. This course is good for all levels of prior knowledge!
