Abstract. Our first Roundtable Discussion examined the concept of Peoplehood as a mean of developing and preserving a community (commons) environmental ethic. In our second Roundtable Discussion, we will explore the Tragedy of the Commons. We will draw upon concepts from the Reading Assignments to draw parallels to management of the Great Lakes. Roundtable 2 sets the stage for Roundtable 3, consideration of the value of a Great Lakes Commons, scheduled for November 9th.
