Monitoring and quantifying natural resources and assessing ecosystem status over time are essential and challenging tasks. This seminar will review the career of a MichiganTech alumnus over two research positions within the field of interdisciplinary environmental science and engineering ranges from developing GIS tools to map and classify riparian areas across the States to quantifying oil palm, acacia, and logging concessions in Southeast Asia.
