Registration for Graduate Research Colloquium 2022 is now Officially open!!

GSG is thrilled to announce this year’s Graduate Research Colloquium (GRC). It is going to be held on March 29 (Tuesday) and March 30, 2022 (Wednesday). GRC offers a very special opportunity for graduate students to showcase their research across the campus-wide community and also to work on their presentation skills for upcoming conferences. Students can give oral presentations, present posters, or do both. Due to the uncertainty of the on-going pandemic restrictions, the event will be held in a pseudo-hybrid mode.

Poster Presentations will occur on March 29 (Tuesday) at the MUB ballroom from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. GSG will be covering the cost of printing posters this year. The oral presentations will be held virtually on both days of the colloquium, they will be 12 minutes live talk (no pre-recorded video presentations) followed by a Q&A session. All the presentations will be scored by judges from a similar field as the presenter. They will provide valuable insight and feedback on how the students can improve their presentations. Students are free to give an oral presentation, a poster talk, or both. Cash prizes are available for the top 3 places in both oral and poster presentations (1st - $300, 2nd - $200, and 3rd - $100). Registration is open now and it closes on February 28 (Monday) at 11:59 pm

The GRC event will be capped off with the annual GRC Awards Banquet. All participants and judges are invited to attend. The banquet will also be held in the hybrid mode so that people may join them virtually if they want. It will be held on March 30 (Wednesday) following the closing of GRC. For more info visit: http://gsg.mtu.edu/grc/ or email Shreya at gsg-research@mtu.edu.
