 s are the best place to start! This camp is open to boys and girls birth y
 ears 2017 - 2019 with at least one year of organized hockey experience. Pa
 rticipants will need their own water bottle and snacks daily\, as well as 
 a small bag to carry them in.\n\nSkaters are given the opportunity to lear
 n forward and defense positions while goalies are given goaltending instru
 ction\, with plenty of practice time. Participants learn and practice unde
 r personalized direction from Michigan Tech's staff as well as current var
 sity players\, alumni\, and guest instructors. Counselors are assigned to 
 each group and remain with campers throughout the day. Lead and assistant 
 instructors are present for all on and off-ice programs.\n\nPrograms are b
 uilt around daily on-ice instruction\, focusing on power-skating\, shootin
 g\, passing\, positional playing\, and small area games. Off-ice programmi
 ng includes hockey skills and age-appropriate competitive games.\n\nGroup 
 1 will be divided into (1) black team and (1) gold team prior to the first
  day of camp. Both teams stay together for the duration of the week.\n\nLo
 cker rooms/areas will be assigned for each day of camp. Participants will 
 need to bring their equipment back and forth daily.\n\nParents are encoura
 ged to help dress their players when possible. Full hockey equipment and a
 thletic apparel/shoes are necessary. Please label all personal belongings.
 \n\nMichigan Tech Sports Camps enforces an Authorization to Release policy
  for all hockey campers. Parents\, guardians\, and alternative authorized 
 release persons will be the only ones allowed to sign a child out during c
