 layers and will focus exclusively on delivering an outstanding daily camp 
 this year. We're thrilled to continue offering the high quality hockey cam
 p tradition that participants know and love! By dedicating 100% of our ene
 rgy to a full schedule on-ice instruction\, off-ice activities and engagin
 g experiences throughout the day\, we're excited to provide an even strong
 er program this year! We look forward to welcoming everyone back this summ
 er and encourage families to explore the many excellent local lodging opti
 ons for a fun and memorable stay-and-play experience!\n \n\nOur Group 3 ca
 mp stresses both individual and team skills\, including the role of the fo
 rward and defenseman in breakout patterns\, neutral-zone techniques\, offe
 nsive-zone alignments\, playing position\, and team play. Open to boys and
  girls birth years 2011 - 2013 with at least one year of organized hockey 
 experience. Participants will need their own water bottles and snacks dail
 y\, as well as a small bag to carry them in.\n\nParticipants learn and pra
 ctice under personalized direction from Michigan Tech's staff\, as well as
  current varsity players\, alumni\, and guest instructors.\n\nPrograms are
  built around Daily On-Ice Instruction\, focusing on power-skating\, shoot
 ing\, passing\, positional playing\, small area games\, competitive battle
  drills\, angling\, and defensive play. Off-Ice Programming includes hocke
 y skills\, age-appropriate competitive games\, and lecture. Full hockey eq
 uipment and athletic apparel/shoes are required.\n\nGroup 3 will be divide
 d into (1) black team and (1) gold team prior to the first day of camp. Bo
 th teams stay together for the duration of the week.\n\nLocker rooms will 
 be assigned for equipment storage for the duration of camp. Please label a
 ll personal belongings.Counselors are assigned to each group and remain wi
 th campers throughout the day\, including meals. Lead and assistant instru
 ctors are present for all on and off-ice activities.The Outdoor Adventure 
 Program partners with Michigan Tech to introduce team building activities 
 to the participants each day.Special evening activities:Every evening (Mon
 day-Thursday) features special activities such as a trip to the Mine Shaft
  for bowling and arcade games\, lawn games at the East Houghton Waterfront
  Park\, and a chairlift ride at Mont Ripley for a spectacular view of the 
 Keweenaw Waterway. Please make sure you come prepared to be outdoors (athl
 etic clothing/light jacket\, as well as spending money for snacks and game
