Sign up for the 5k before the end of March 30th on https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/Houghton/HuskiesOutofHibernation. The registration fee is $20 and comes with a 5k t-shirt! Your contributions will help support our team traveling to Kenya at the end of this semester! You can participate in the race any time between April 13th and April 20th.

This virtual 5k will fundraise money for Michigan Technological University's Innovative Global Solutions Enterprise (IGS) to go to Vihiga County, Kenya to implement their aquaponics project. This aquaponics project services the people of Vihiga County who struggle to find a reliable source of food. 62% of the population is living in poverty. This virtual 5k will help support MTU students in their travels and give them the chance to apply their projects in the real world to a community that needs help!

In this virtual race, you have the chance to run where you want, when you want! Each participant will have a week to complete the 5k and post about their experience on social media! Make sure you tag IGS in your post!
