Currently serving as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation (NSF), Huaiyu ‘David’ Dai helps shape the nation’s research priorities in artificial intelligence, trustworthy computing, and data-driven systems. On leave from North Carolina State University, David carries over two decades of experience at the intersection of computing, communications, and networking. His career is marked by sustained contributions to intelligent, trustworthy, and scalable systems and editorial leadership for major IEEE journals, bridging the gap between foundational theory and applied engineering impact.
