This is a regatta between the Rowing clubs at MTU (Michigan Tech University) and NMU (Northern Michigan University), along with UPCRC (Upper Peninsula Community Rowing Club). The regatta is a one day event consisting of races: single sculls, double sculls, quad sculls, sweep Men and Women 4+, and sweep Men and Women 8+.

Available for purchase are souvenir Iron Oars Regatta apparel along with an assortment of baked goods and fresh fruit.
