The Institute for Policy, Ethics, and Culture is presenting "Work in Transition," a speaker series exploring the future of work in partnership with the Portage Lake District Library. Leanne Simpson, Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg scholar, will speak on Tuesday, March 28 at 7:00 pm via Zoom Webinar.

Leanne Betasamosake Simpson has been widely recognized as one of the most compelling Indigenous voices of her generation. Her work breaks open the intersections between politics,  story, and song—bringing audiences into a rich and layered world of sound, light, and sovereign creativity.

Her presentation is titled "The Work of World Building.

Val Gagnon, Director of University-Indigenous Community Partnerships and assistant professor in the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science, will host a discussion and Q&A following Leanne's presentation.
