Every fall, Student Leadership and Involvement hosts "Make a Difference Day," the largest national day of community service, in which students, faculty, and staff come together to serve our community. This year's event will take place on Saturday, October 22.
Volunteer projects will vary based on the needs of local agencies and community members. Painting, weeding, planting, digging, raking, cleaning, organizing, and moving are all likely projects that we have seen in the past. Do you know of an organization, agency, or community member who could use the assistance of volunteers? We can help! Request support by completing our site registration form or share it with others who would benefit from the service of some Husky Helpers.
Interested in volunteering? Register now on our community service website, GivePulse. Check-in will run from 8:45 AM until 9:15 AM in the MUB Ballroom. Information packets will be distributed and from there, groups will travel to service locations. Projects may require that groups drive to the location. PLEASE NOTE: Each member of your organization/group must register individually for Make a Difference Day. The final deadline to register is Monday, October 17th at 8 AM.
