Mathematics behind the dark matter mystery

Abstract: In my general audience talk, I will introduce the topic of dark matter.  A remaining question is to appreciate the associated mathematics.  During this presentation, which is self contained (i.e., you do not need to know anything about astronomy nor dynamical systems), the mathematical arguments are outlined.
