Dr. Ryan is a very progressive physician with documented interests in: a) clinical workflow software development - founder of Small Brain software (clinical workflow software) b) patient encounters and analysis using the Kinect sensors c).development of the Oculus for complex patient and population health issues. Conducts research with Dartmouth, U of Michigan, and Michigan Tech. 6:00 ' 7: 30 pm: Medical Informatics Use in the Clinical Environment - Learn from the Experts 1. Dr. Michael Verive - new Pediatrician at Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center. - starts in November. Dr. Verive has a long history in computer programming and has incorporated this knowledge into developing algorithms to further research in children diagnosis and treatment. 2. Dr. Michelle Seguin - Primary Care Physician at Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center. Dr. Sequin has a large interest in preventative health / community medicine, with an interest in using this technology, such as the sensors we have developed for Parkinson's Disease and smart devices to help promote a healthy lifestyle. 3. Shannon Lahnala Bleau, Director of Quality at Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center. Ms. Lahnala Bleau can explain how large datasets of electronic information are used in population health assessment and provide statistics relating to our local area and beyond.
