Michigan Tech has a rich history of experiential learning and applied research.  Transitioning our campus and community to a more sustainable model will afford opportunities to convert our campus into a living laboratory for sustainability, linking our operational management with our teaching and research missions. 

 

This discussion will highlight some of the ways in which faculty are using campus/community as a place for applied learning, and explore opportunities for future growth and expansion of the concept.

 

Panelists include:

-Richelle Winkler, Social Sciences

-Brian Barkdoll, Civil and Environmental Engineering

-Rod Chimner, College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science
