The Center for Diversity and Inclusion is proud to announce the 34th Annual MLK Jr Day Celebration on January 16, 2023. In preparation for the event, the CDI will host a poster making session for students on Wednesday, January 11. Student works will be displayed in an exhibit at the J. R. Van Pelt and John and Ruanne Opie Library throughout the month.

The morning of January 16 will begin in the spirit of service, as Michigan Tech students read books on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in our local schools. At noon, the Van Pelt and Opie Library will host a Prayer Vigil where our religious communities on campus will read excerpts from Dr. King’s works. Finally, we will end the day with our MLK Banquet beginning at 5:30pm, where notable alum Dr. Tayloria Adams will deliver the keynote address. Registration information is to come.

We cannot wait for you all to join us. For more information please email cdi@mtu.edu or visit www.mtu.edu/diversity-center/get-involved/martin-luther-king/
