 two parallel artistic explorations in the Rozsa A-Space Gallery. Since the
  fall of 2019\, Degges has been creating a series of intriguing abstract p
 aintings based on cell phone photos from his family in Louisiana in a grou

 ncept of home as immaterial and held within oneself. Alongside these paint

  (b. Shreveport\, LA) is an artist and educator currently based in Mansfie
 ld Center\, CT where he is an Assistant Professor of Art in Painting and D
 rawing at the University of Connecticut in Storrs\, CT. Douglas received h
 is MFA from the University of Iowa and a BA in Studio Art from Rhodes Coll
 ege in Memphis\, TN. His work has been exhibited in various group and solo
  exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently his wo
 rk was exhibited at Proyecto T in Mexico City\, Mexico\, Side Room Gallery
  in Brooklyn\, NY\, the Pratt Munson Gallery in Utica\, NY\, Cleaner Galle

 two parallel artistic explorations in the Rozsa A-Space Gallery. Since the
  fall of 2019\, Degges has been creating a series of intriguing abstract p
 aintings based on cell phone photos from his family in Louisiana in a grou
 p text. This project explores shared visual experiences and affirms the co
 ncept of home as immaterial and held within oneself. Alongside these paint
 ings are a series of abstract sculptures that Degges collaborated on with 
 his wonderful canine companion\, Cricket. Douglas Degges is an active cont

  (b. Shreveport\, LA) is an artist and educator currently based in Mansfie
 ld Center\, CT where he is an Assistant Professor of Art in Painting and D
 rawing at the University of Connecticut in Storrs\, CT. Douglas received h
 is MFA from the University of Iowa and a BA in Studio Art from Rhodes Coll
 ege in Memphis\, TN. His work has been exhibited in various group and solo
  exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently his wo
 rk was exhibited at Proyecto T in Mexico City\, Mexico\, Side Room Gallery
