Abstract: The depletion of high-grade mineral ore resources has driven the mining and mineral processing industry to explore new technologies to process lower grade ores. The effective recovery of valuable minerals from low-grade ore requires a fundamental understanding of elementary processes of fine particle flotation. Molecular assembly of collectors on mineral surfaces and nano-structures in solutions play a critical role in governing bubble-particle interaction in froth flotation.
