The info session will go over the four positions available within the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) program. The four positions are:
Naval Reactors Engineer:
The Technical and Regulatory Backup for the Nuclear Navy. At Naval Reactors we ensure technical manuals and regulations are up to date, provide fleet support, and work closely with laboratories and contractors to ensure the fleet is operating safely and effectively.
Nuclear PowerSchool Instructor:
Instructor position who provide the technical instruction in the training pipeline for individuals who are preparing to serve on Submarines or Aircraft carriers.
Submarine or Surface Warfare Officers:
The individuals who will be actively manning the Nuclear Fleet. They are operational positions who will be going underway and operating the Nuclear Propulsion Plant to provide power for our Submarines or Aircraft Carriers.
