October 9th will mark 57 years since Che Guevara was executed, bringing an end to a reign of terror by the Marxist revolutionary and international thug. Unfortunately, most students never learn the names of the innocents Che ordered in front of his firing squads or the effect his quest to establish socialism had on the people of Latin America. Instead, Che’s likeness has been idolized, and emblazoned on t-shirts, coffee mugs, and billboards.
To counter the lionizing of this cowardly killer, Young America’s Foundation works with students around the country to tell the truth about Che on the anniversary of his death. "No More Che Day" is designed to educate campuses about Che’s violent life and death, and underscore the faults of socialism.
YAF students will be tabling in front of the library from 9 am to 3 pm.
