Sarah Green (Moderator)

The United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP) met to negotiate global climate policy for its 25th year in Madrid, Spain from December 2-13, 2019. A delegation from Michigan Technological University presented research, participated in press conferences, met with diplomats, visited the U.S. Embassy and more during the two-week convention. The COP is a space in which people from around the world can come together to share their initiatives, learn about different cultures and unite around a common goal: acting to ensure a healthy social, environmental and economic future. A panel of three graduate students from the Michigan Tech delegation and Professor Sarah Green will share their thoughts and perspectives on various aspects of the conference, including the negotiation process, side events, press conferences, United States representation, and ways to get involved. Please join us and bring your questions!
