Huskies Group Swim Lessons are now open for registration! American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics levels and Preschool Aquatics levels are being offered at the SDC Pool on Saturday mornings. Social distancing will be maintained during classes and instructors will remain on the pool deck. A parent is required to be in the water with each participant.

No previous swimming lesson skills or history needed to participate in these levels. 

Parent and Child Aquatics (Ages 6 months - 3 years)

The purpose of the course is to familiarize children with the water and teach swimming readiness skills. In addition, Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics provides safety information for parents and teaches parents techniques they can use to help orient their children to the water. A parent is required to be in the water with each participant.

Preschool Aquatics (Ages 4-5 years)

Preschool Aquatics is designed to orient young preschoolers to the aquatic environment and to help them gain basic aquatic skills. In addition, participants start learning about how to be safe around water. A parent is required to be in the water with each participant.

The COVID-19 Visitor Symptom Tracking Form is required to be completed by all participants and guardians before every class session. Masks are required throughout the building except while swimming or showering. Space will be provided for personal items on the pool deck. Class size is limited and based on social distancing.
