Dr. Jagjiwan Mittal of Amity University, India will present "Synthesis and applications of hybrid carbon nanotubes and graphene".
Friday, December 14, 2018 @ 3:00 pm Fisher Hall – Room 101
Dr. J. Mittal will focus on his work in synthesis of hybrid carbon nanotubes and graphene by filling and/or coating in carbon nanotubes and coating & intercalation in graphene of metals, metal oxides and chlorides. Emphasis will be on structural parameter and thermal and electric properties of these hybrid materials. Presentation will include the studies on applications of these hybrid materials for thermal interface materials, interconnects and gas sensing.
Dr. J. Mittal is working as assistant professor in Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, India. He received his M Tech and PhD degrees in Chemistry from India institute of Technology, Delhi, India in collaboration with National Physical Laboratory. Besides India, he worked as JSPS fellow in Japan, CNRS Associate Researcher in France, and Post-Doctoral fellow. in Taiwan. His specialization is in materials chemistry particularly carbon and graphitic materials including graphene and carbon nanotubes. His current research work includes development and application studies on hybrid carbon nanotubes & graphene, solder metals and alloys nanoparticles and OMS-2 nanofibers. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal publications. He can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org.
