College of Forest Resources and Environmental Science Present: Fall Seminar Series
Isabelle Laforest-Lapointe
Assistant Professor, Université de Sherbrooke
High-throughput sequencing has allowed scientists to improve the understanding of microbial community structure, diversity, and functions. Most importantly, these communities play key roles for their host (e.g., plants) and at larger scales for ecosystems. Yet, few studies have provided an integrative cross-domain (e.g., bacteria-fungi) perspective of the microbiome. In this talk, I will present the results of my research on plant microbial community dynamics across a diversity of host species and ecosystems.
