Michigan Tech alumni and friends, mark your calendars for a memorable experience at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, MI! Join Diane Cesarz '94 and Heather Storey '92 on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and delve into the fascinating world of Raku pottery. The workshop provides a hands-on experience, guiding you through the process from selecting the vessel to applying glazes, allowing you to create your own pottery masterpiece. No experience is required! 

While your creations undergo the firing process in the kiln, take the opportunity to socialize with fellow alumni and explore Pewabic Pottery's store and museum. Pewabic Pottery is located at 10125 E Jefferson Ave, Detroit, MI 48214.

Workshop Cost: $75 per person which includes glazing and firing lesson, pottery supplies and vessel.   

Schedule: 

• 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Vessel selection and glazing 
• 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. - Social and snacks courtesy of the Alumni Engagement Office
• 2:30 - 3 p.m. - Pull pottery from the Kiln and showcase your masterpiece!
