SAE Aero Design aims to offer valuable experience to Michigan Tech students of all majors interested in an extracurricular engineering & design opportunity.

Come join our twice-weekly meetings! This semester, we will be meeting twice a week to run our design competition so be sure to attend if you want to participate. No experience is required, and it's perfectly fine to join in whenever it fits your schedule.

Design competition explanation:
     The first design challenge is for teams to create an RC plane that can do the most laps around a baseball diamond. Each team gets 1 point for each lap their plane completes around the bases in a single flight. Points are multiplied by 2 for each unique food item the plane incorporates into the design, and multiplied by 4 for each food item that is a structural component of the plane.
