Michigan Tech will be hosing the Smart Ships Coalition Fall Workshop September 15-16, 2022.
Smart Ships Coalition is an initiative that Michigan Tech is leading with support from the State of Michigan's Office of the Great Lakes and other partners to engage leaders from government, industry, and academia in a forum to advance maritime mobility and position the Great Lakes Region at the forefront in the country and globally. In 2018, Michigan Tech hosted a launch ceremony for Smart Ships Coalition, at which time the Marine Autonomy Research Site was established at the Great Lakes Research Center.
On Friday, September 16th, there will be a full day of presentations, working group meetings, tours, and demonstrations at the Marine Autonomy Research Site. There will be a casual networking event the afternoon of September 15th.
This event is geaured toward those with an interest and working in cyber systems, computing, autonomy, robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, workforce development, ethics, policy, and related domains with applications to maritime mobility.
All are welcome to attend! Registration is free but required by August 31st, 2022.
