STEM is DOPE -- Justin Shaifer

Justin’s goal “to be for STEM what ESPN is for sports” and to inspire young people to “embrace their inner nerd despite their surroundings,” springs from his own life experience. Self-taught and fascinated by science, Justin founded Fascinate, Inc. a nonprofit that reaches out to underrepresented students to “Get Them Into STEM!” through a culturally responsive STEM curriculum. Justin regularly speaks to the importance of STEM, STEM diversity and creating a pipeline of diverse STEM.

This program/lecture is partially funded/sponsored by the Visiting Professor Program which is funded by a grant tothe Office of the Provost from the State of Michigan's King-Chavesz-Parks Initiative.
Michigan Technological University is an Equal Opportunity Educational Institution/Equal Opportunity Employer that provides equal opportunity for all, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
