 ial Explorer (https://www.socialexplorer.com/). This is a super easy inter
 active tool for accessing and mapping detailed socioeconomic data at multi
 ple geographic scales. Its a great way to bring data into classroom activi
 ties. Its also an easy way to access background/contextual information for
  research projects or to explore patterns and make hypotheses. Anyone can 
 use this and get up to speed quickly. No GIS skills required. Richelle Win
 kler will introduce the tool and its features\, cover some of the things t
 hat users should keep in mind (best practices)\, and show some examples fo
 r how she is using it for teaching and research.
