Alan Turnquist, Director of Sustainability & Resilience, MTU

Abstract: 
The campus Director for Sustainability and Resilience will give an overview of ongoing initiatives related to sustainability at Michigan Tech.  These include initiatives in research, in campus operations, and in instruction.  Sustainability initiatives are being led by staff, faculty and students.  Following the Director's talk, there will be a presentation by a member of the Green Campus Enterprise on a sustainability project currently underway within this enterprise.  There will be time for extended discussion of ideas from the audience on other sustainability actions that could be taken, on how to get involved in activities supporting sustainability at Tech.
