Lecture in Celebration of the 120th Anniversary of the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum

Louisiana State University


Dutrow is a highly acclaimed geologist and educator. She is the winner of the 2022 Carnegie Mineralogical Award, served as the 2021-22 president of the Geological Society of America and is a former president of the Mineralogical Society of America. The new tourmaline-group mineral dutrowite was named in her honor in 2020.


Dutrow’s visit is sponsored by the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum, the Department of Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences, the Association for Women Geoscientists Lecture Program, and the Edith Dunn and E. Wm. Heinrich Mineralogical Research Foundation.

The public is invited, and light refreshments will be served.
