Bio

Dutrow is a highly acclaimed geologist and educator. She is the winner of the 2022 Carnegie Mineralogical Award, served as the 2021-22 president of the Geological Society of America and is a former president of the Mineralogical Society of America. The new tourmaline-group mineral dutrowite was named in her honor in 2020.
