AN ACCESSIBLE KEWEENAW INITIATIVE EVENT
The Upper Peninsula Accessibility Summit (UPAS) is for local officials, business owners, public facility managers, and community members to learn best practices for universal design, improve accessibility, and understand the benefits of accessible tourism. UPAS aims to inspire and share ideas for impactful community development. Attendees will hear from U.P. entities such as SAIL, Disability Network of the U.P., Travel Marquette, Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds, Equipment Loans of the Keweenaw, and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation. Attendees can sign up for one or both days. Registration includes lunch, workshops, keynote speaker presentations, demonstrations, vendors, and an award ceremony recognizing those doing incredible work in accessibility.
